How we collect and verify prices

Every price on GLP1Prices.ca has a source, a date, and a verification step. Here is exactly how that works.

How we collect prices

We collect prices through two methods: direct phone calls to pharmacy staff and publicly available online listings.

For phone-verified prices, we call the pharmacy, ask for the cash price (no insurance) for the specific drug, strength, and quantity, and record the dispensing fee separately. We confirm the date the price was last updated.

For online pharmacies that publish prices publicly, we record the listed price, verify it matches what is shown at checkout, and store a source link so you can confirm the number yourself.

“Hi, I'm calling to ask about the cash price for [drug name] [strength]. What is the dispensing fee for this pharmacy? When was this price last updated?”

Verification cadence

We re-verify every published price weekly. Each row on every drug page shows the date that price was most recently confirmed. If a price is overdue for verification, it is flagged so you know to call ahead before relying on it.

What ‘total price’ means

Prices on GLP1Prices.ca include the drug cost plus the pharmacy's standard dispensing fee. Provincial sales tax is not applied to prescription drugs in Canada and is therefore excluded. The price you see is what a cash-paying customer without insurance would be quoted at that pharmacy.

What we exclude and why

We exclude compounded GLP-1 products (which are not Health Canada-approved manufacturer products), US-based listings, and any price we cannot verify with the dispensing pharmacy directly. If we cannot confirm a number, it does not appear on the site.

Conflict-of-interest disclosure

No pharmacy, telehealth provider, or pharmaceutical manufacturer pays for placement on GLP1Prices.ca. Listings are determined by price and verification status only. We do not accept sponsored placements or paid rankings.
