GLP1Prices - Tracker β€” Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Onset Security Inc for the GLP1Prices - Tracker mobile app: what it is, what it is not, and what each of us is responsible for.

1. This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Onset Security Inc ("we", "us"), the publisher of the GLP1Prices - Tracker mobile app. By installing or using the app, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

The app is free to download and use, and it contains no advertising. Versions 1.0 and 1.1 contain no purchases. From version 1.2, an optional subscription, Premium, adds price alerts and the "Get insight" summary; section 13 sets out how it works.

Versions 1.0 and 1.1 are offered in Canada outside Quebec β€” see section 8. If you are in Quebec, those versions tell you so and do not set themselves up, and these terms do not become an agreement between us through them. From version 1.2, the app is offered everywhere in Canada, Quebec included.

2. What the app is, and what it is not

GLP1Prices - Tracker is a personal record-keeping tool for people who have already been prescribed a GLP-1 medication. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, does not give medical advice, and does not recommend, change or time any dose. Always talk to your doctor or pharmacist before making decisions about your treatment.

The app never tells you what dose to take, when to take it, whether to skip one, or what to do about a dose you missed. It records what you tell it and shows it back to you. If something about your treatment does not seem right, that is a conversation with a health professional, not with an app.

In an emergency, call 911 or go to an emergency department. The app is not a way to reach anyone.

3. Your record is yours

What you record belongs to you. It is stored on your device, and we have no copy of it β€” see the privacy policy.

That has a consequence worth stating plainly: if you lose the device, reset it, or uninstall the app, the record goes with it and we cannot restore it. If the record matters to you, use the backup feature and keep the file and its passphrase somewhere safe.

4. Prices

Prices in the app are published Canadian pharmacy prices collected by GLP1Prices.ca. Each price is shown with the pharmacy, the strength, the quantity and the date it was verified.

Prices change, pharmacies make their own pricing decisions, and a price that was verified on a date may not be the price today. A price in the app is information, not an offer and not a quote. Confirm with the pharmacy before you buy.

We do not sell medication, we do not dispense it, and we are not a pharmacy.

5. Pharmacies, telehealth providers and links

The pharmacies and telehealth providers shown in the app are independent businesses licensed in Canada. We are not responsible for what they do, what they charge, or the service they give you. Your relationship with them is yours.

Pharmacies pay us nothing for appearing in the app or for a patient who comes to them through it. Prices are listed cheapest first, and no one can pay to be moved up the list. If any listing ever earns us a fee β€” a telehealth referral link, for example β€” that row says so on its face. Paid placement never changes the order of results or the price you pay.

Following a link takes you out of the app and onto someone else’s website, under their terms and their privacy policy.

6. Reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your device using the schedule you set. Whether a reminder actually appears is up to your phone: battery saving, focus modes, notification permissions and system updates can all delay or suppress one.

Do not rely on the app as the only thing standing between you and a dose. It is a convenience, not a guarantee.

7. Using the app

You agree to use the app for your own personal record-keeping, and not to: copy, resell or redistribute it; take it apart or attempt to defeat its security; use it to store someone else’s health information without their knowledge; or use it in any way that breaks the law.

There is no account and no password. Anyone who can unlock your phone can open the app. Locking the device is your responsibility.

8. Availability, updates and changes

Versions 1.0 and 1.1 of the app are offered in Canada outside Quebec. The App Store and Google Play cannot exclude one province from a Canadian release, so those versions do it themselves: the first question they ask is which province you fill your prescription in, and a Quebec answer ends the setup with a notice and stores nothing. From version 1.2, the app is offered everywhere in Canada, Quebec included. The GLP1Prices.ca website serves every province.

We may update the app, change how it works, or stop offering it. Updates arrive through the App Store and Google Play, and smaller corrections β€” text, layout, a fix that involves no new device capability β€” may arrive as an over-the-air update the next time you open the app.

An old version may stop working with our price service. When that happens the app tells you and points you at the store.

We may change these terms. The date at the top changes with them, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

9. No warranty

The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the prices or catalogue information in it are complete, current or accurate.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have under consumer protection law in your province or territory. Where such a law gives you a warranty or a remedy that cannot be excluded, it applies despite this section.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it. That is nothing, unless you subscribe to Premium (from version 1.2), in which case it is what you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim.

We are not excluding liability for anything that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Decisions about your medication belong to you and your prescriber. The app records and displays; it does not decide.

11. Governing law and language

These terms are governed by the laws of the province or territory in Canada where you live and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

A French version of these terms and of the privacy policy is published alongside the English one. If you are in Quebec, the French version is the one that governs.

13. Premium (from app version 1.2)

This section applies from version 1.2 of the app. Premium is an optional subscription. It includes price alerts, the "Get insight" summary, and any other feature the Premium screen lists when you subscribe. Recording your doses and other entries, and comparing prices, do not need it.

Buying and renewal. Premium is sold in the app through the App Store or Google Play, by the month or by the year, at the price the store shows before you confirm. Apple or Google takes the payment and bills you under its own terms. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, and you are charged for the next one, unless you cancel before then; on the App Store, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, Apple or Google tells you before it applies, as their rules require.

Free trial. The annual subscription starts with a 7-day free trial for a store account that has not had Premium before; the store shows whether yours can take it before you confirm. The monthly subscription has no free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, it converts to the paid annual subscription, and you are charged the annual price the store showed, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. You cancel a trial the same way as a subscription, in your Apple or Google account’s subscription settings (see Cancelling below).

Cancelling. You cancel in your Apple or Google account, not in the app: on an iPhone, Settings β†’ your name β†’ Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play β†’ Payments and subscriptions β†’ Subscriptions. Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for. Removing the app or using "Delete all data" does not cancel the subscription.

Refunds. Apple and Google handle refunds under their own policies, and we cannot issue one in their place. Nothing in these terms limits a right to cancel or to a refund that consumer protection law in your province or territory gives you.

Restoring. The app has no account of its own, so Premium belongs to the Apple or Google account that bought it. On a new phone, or after reinstalling, sign in with the same store account and tap Restore purchases on the Premium screen.

Price alerts. An alert depends on prices being published to GLP1Prices.ca, on our service and on your phone letting the app check them in the background, so it can arrive late or not at all, and a price can change after the alert is shown. A price in an alert is information, not an offer: confirm with the pharmacy before you buy (section 4).
